North Carolina has a plethora of unique homes and buildings, and this one is at the top of the list. Shrouded in mystery as why the castle was abandoned in 2006 by sculptor Robert Mihaly. Rumor has it that his wife died in the castle and that her spirit still haunts the grounds to this day. Although Mihaly himself has denied that his wife is dead, locals claim that whatever is going on in that castle is not natural.
 

Mysterium Seekers visited the castle in June 2021 with hopes of putting the rumors to rest once and for all. At the time, the team operated under the name “Eerie Expeditions Paranormal.” Although no concrete evidence was found, there were a few things that made us question what was really going on there. For example, throughout the property were artifacts made of wood and fashioned into triangles. When confronted about them, Mihaly denied ever seeing them before. However, later that year, when a short film shot on location was released (though production took place before our visit), it became obvious that Mihaly was hiding something. We have reached out several times since that trip in an attempt to return to the location, but once we mention anything about a paranormal investigation, all communication stops.
